on Voodoo 3 1000 (OEM) didn't have a HSF on it so I sorta used termal tape w/superglue to get it on. The superglue are glued to the outer edges so the tape has contact with the BGA chip. Reason I did this is because it fell off over time.... Now I'm wondering if there are any chemicals that were in the superglue that might have damaged the chip or something... is the glue suspectible to heat?
 
I did the same thing to my gladiac, it shipped with the fan broke off, I havent had any problems with it except that the fan fell off once when taking it out. 3 months ago.
