Hi there, about a month ago I installed a 1.33 T-bird on an ABIT KT7A mobo using arctic silver II and a Globalwin FOP32-I.
Now, without my Geforce2 in the CPU temp goes from about 95 F -> 124 F
With the Geforce in the CPU temp goes from about 118 F -> 129F
Now, I have side of my case off and a rear exhaust fan but that is it.
Are my high temps due to air flow or could it be a bad cpu install. I'm thinking since the CPU temp idles (without the geforce in) at 95 F that perhaps it is an airflow problem. And maybe with the Geforce card in there I need to get that heat out somehow. I was thinking about one of those Dual system bracket fans that blows on the cards. Or maybe I should try reapplying the arctic silver and heatsink.
I'm lost - I would just like to get those temps down a bit.
EDIT: forgot to mention that my case temp curerntly is about 100 F .. that is with the Geforce in there and CPU temp at 120 F
EDIT: Woops..yeah the Abit BH6 doesn't take thses last time I checked. I also relaized there is cooling forum so I will move this message there..sorry for wasting this space.
