So I had one wisdom teeth pulled and my last regular teeth pulled on my left side. Somehow my gums back there had an expansion. I believe they called it a tension. They are going to find out at the Lab whats under there.

Sucks ballz I thought they were going to perice my gums all the way down to my nerves with a syringe. And I was at a University/Hospital so I had 4 people when things got rough.

At least I'll have an excuse to not eat two whole turkeys

Edit: So after a bit discussion with my mom. She felt that I should've held back on pulling my tooth near my wisdom teeth which also had to be pulled. She expressed concerns in the future because I am still very young. The reason being was because there was an expanded area(gums) back there. They said it was a leasion and they'd had to pull some stuff out and cut a piece of gum to look under a microscope.

That being I had to do multiple xrays and a final CAT scan facial Xray.
And I went to Tuffs New England Medical University. Possibly they wanted my sh1t for research?

Heh...my sister is getting her tonsils removed the day before Thanksgiving because she doesn't have enough vacation/sick time built up to take several days off.

Did you get an option to see an oral surgeon instead of a dentist? If so, you should've taken that route...much quicker surgery and recovery time.

"Joey, Do you need milk for a milkshake?"

"...yes."

"Oh."

"maybe you should get Mom to help you with that blender, they bite ya know."

Oxycontin / Oxycocet (can't remember which) and T-3's FTW!

Spend a few days on the couch drifting in and out of sleep. :)

I feel for you. About 6 or 7 years ago, I had all four wisdom teeth surgically removed about a week before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, it kind of sucked. The Vicodin did help quite a bit though. :)

I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, and all I took was Advil. I was eating whole foods by the next day. Stop being such a nancy.

waiting on the painkillers :( Gonna go to sleep

Isn't Ibuprofen (Advil) stronger then Tylenol (Acetaminophen)?
Take 400mg's of Ibuprofen. That might help a little better, unless there is something about teeth that I don't know about were Ibuprofen doesn't work.
(and it's ok to take both at the same time, since they work differently, but I wouldn't do it :))

And if things get rough, 600mg of Ibuprofen can be taken, but thats pushing it (200mg's about recommended)
But nothing compares to the stuff from the pharmacist :D

Not all wisdom teeth are the same. Mine were murder. This is coming from someone who passed a kidney stone in a public bathroom.

I had four pulled about 2 months ago and it didnt hurt one bit. Just a lot of drooling and the painkillers made me very drowsy.

I am really lost about this "expansion/tension" deal. They said that was the reason for taking your 2nd molar along with your 3rd (wisdom tooth) ?

What about this lesion? Is it possibly cancerous? I can't figure why you needed a CAT scan xray unless you meant a panorex.

Dental students did your work by any chance?
