The only way to REALLY know if you had heart damage or ischemia (lack of oxygen to the heart) is with a 12 lead EKG. Paramedics (me

) in Las Vegas have 12 lead monitors and can tell in a few seconds if you have heart damage, or ischemia. Heart damage can be from many things and chest pain is one of many symptoms, but not all of them. Numbness in the left arm is another, although that is not specific to heart problems, nor is heart damage limited to numbing only the arm.
Your best bet is to get checked out by a doctor or medic. Here in LV we only charge if we transport, so call and see if that is true for you also. If so you can have the paramedics run a 12 lead (if they can do that where you are) and see what they say for free. I never minded doing that for people.
