I just recieved my shipment from Monarch Computers, with it was my new Duron 650. I had thought that I was getting it in the retail box but I thought wrong:(
Side note: Monarch Computers = very bad experience.

Anyway before I raise hell (again) I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I got an ok processor. I saw a few lists with a buch of numbers but none matched what was on mine. So here is what is shown.

Thanks for any help given.

I will, that site is the reason I tried them in the first place. They did have an ok rating. Right now I am to tired and to frusterated to bitch. I just want to get home so I can start assembling my new machine.

I do work for an online retailer so I know how to handle them if things do wrong. So far they did upgrade my shipping to overnight because they were 3 day late shipping my order.

If it isn't advertised as a retail CPU, then that means it's an OEM CPU. In most cases, both processors are equivalent, although retail CPU's often have more overclocking potential because, at least in Intel's case, they choose the wafers from the middle of the cutting board to be retail and the outer-wafers (more likelihood of imperfection) to be OEM.

So you don't have much of a valid complaint if it's an OEM CPU unless there is something that prevents it from running at its rated 650Mhz.
