I bought a Radeon 9700 Pro 128 Video Card from Newegg. It was refurbished. It did not come with anything but the card. It did not have remote, software or cables. It cost $268.00. I expected that maybe the cables would not be there, and in a plain box. Did I get ripped, what would you do??

According to newegg.com refurb means dont expect any cables etc... Some people get them but its not guranteed. So you got what you paid for.

Read The Friendly Listing before making the purchase.

Sorry, but if they say you might not get accessories you shouldn't be surprised when you don't get accessories. Same with people who order refurb motherboards and are miffed when they don't get an I/O shield. If you want more than the bare card or board you shouldn't be buying refurb.

You might ask if they're willing to take it back. If they do, great, but be nice if they ask you to pay a restocking fee for wasting thier time.

Its refurb. Its not meant to be 100% all there. It says the parts might not be included. The point is don't but a card that requires dongle for functionality if the dongle might not be included. You made a boo boo. Call em and ask for arefund. See what they do.

You can buy the cables for the AIW 9700 from the ATI online shop. I'm not sure how to get the driver CD which has the GemStar Guide program, which is half the point of an AIW card. The ATI online store will not sell you a copy unless you have one already, but you could try buy the CD on eBay. Should you decide to try to get the cables from eBay, I am pretty sure that every AIW Radeon uses the same input box, except potentially the original AIW Radeon and I know for a fact the AIW 8500DV. The composite video out cable assembly for the AIW 9700 which is more important and probably harder to find on eBay, is the same cable that is used on the AIW 9000, and the AIW 9800. However, if you just want to just limp by on antenna input only if you get a universal CD-ROM audio cable you can plug the AIW internal audio into your motherboard.
