Did I get had, $2000 total replace my transmission

The transmission was trash, $2000 includes a rebuilt transmission, inspection, they had to inspect the car to determin what was wrong, including engine diagnostics and transmision diagnostic, and new transmission fluid. I gave them a non working car, and they did a full inspection to determin what was wrong, found out it was a dead transmission, and replaced with a rebuilt one. Charging me 2000 for all the labor and parts.

This also includes the cost of them having to tow the car to a transmission center, since the place I took it to only looks at engine, since I thought it was the engine.

For me to get a new tranny installed on my car including install and engine+tranny inspection is about $1200 bucks.

Then again I don't know the market for the Camry.

The car is only 8 years old, unless it's half destroyed it'll be worth 2k.

In 2002ish I had a domestic transmission rebuilt and a bunch of upgrades made to it for $1100. It had a shift kit, upgrades clutch packs, relocated breather, and a few other things.
