Did I get hacked ?

I just deleted every single file that was infected. If i just use the comp for a few days and its fine, you still think i should reformat ? Its such a PIA.

The only one I trust is Trend Micro.

Aww yes Trend, the brain surgeons who looked for notworm.txt to determine if you where CodeRed infected or not... Sigh.

I've had good success with AVG's anti-virus software. Found Here

I've used F-protect, McAfee, Norton, and AVG. I prefer using AVG for personal use, and Norton's Enterprise version at work, because I can install, configure, update, and scan the desktops from a central server.

If the virus didn't infect or attack any system files, and subsequent scans are clean, you should be ok. Good luck! :)
