Did i do ok ya think? Both brand new and below the prices at newegg. ONly thing i kinda wish i had found out BEFORE hand on the video card was that it wasnt shipped to them in the original box, but just a plain brown box. What would that mean?

Means the video card was either bought without a box or OEM (oem=just the card, nothing else) no big deal really just no bundled games, cords or driver cd

Btw, those prices are really decent. Depends on the shipping costs though.

the card does come with everything in the picture, which does show the driver cd and an adapter and a cord /shrug as long as its like they stated brand new its all good i guess.

And the shippin on the power supply was only9 dollars and the card acutally was abit to high imo coming in at 15 dollars, i think that was abit outrages for what it is being shipped. But yeah even with the shipping added in for both, they still come out under what most the retail places like newegg charges befoore shipping is applied.

Better. x700 is pretty good. beats some decent cards for under 200 dollars. I think it may beat 6600gt and 9800pro. not too bad for midrange.

It doesn't even come close to a 6600GT.

It does in some benches :p
Either way, for $71, you can't complain... That's not too bad.

If you're talking about 3DMark05, which runs off the Direct X engine, then it's not a fair comparison because ATI specializes in that. NVIDIA is OpenGL. This can be seen in HL2 (Direct X) vs. Doom 3 (Open GL), where ATI wins the former and NVIDIA wins the latter. Check the 3DMark05 score thread on Anandtech to see what I'm talking about. NVIDIA 6 and 7 Series are currently better than ATI's x700 and x800 series, but some benchmarks don't show that accurately.

My bad, i mean the x700pro. I'm sorry i was wrong, it doesn't really beat out the 6600gt in benchmarks, but it does beat out 9800 pro. At least the pro does.
