Did I get a good deal, and how do you clean flat CRT's?

I got a deal from work where I got 2 Viewsonic P220f monitors for $500. One was manufactured in Oct. of 2000, the other in March of 2001. I'm assuming that's a pretty sweet deal (plus work gave me a 30 day warranty).

Now, the question is, what do you use to clean the screens on flat screen monitors? I've asked around and people say to use Windex, but i thought it may be a little harsh on the anti-glare stuff.

Damp rag and paper towels. Or you can buy specially formulated screen cleaner.. Also, do a search, this topic comes up weekly.

Do NOT use an ammonia or alcohol based cleaner. (read: most every glass cleaner)

What works well for me:
Take a terry cloth rag
Get one side damp
Wipe the glass down with the wet side until any oil or forign matter is removed
Wipe down the glass with the dry side to remove 95% of the water
The last remaining droplets will evaporate quickly (this is unavoidable given any cleaner)
Enjoy.

You are correct to worry about the anti-glare coating. Windex and similar cleaners will strip and/or damage the coating. I would recommend using just water.

I have this stuff called Screen Guardian (I know, cheesy name but who gives?), it says its for notebook, anti-glare and polarized computer screens...so i woudl figure it was safe for lcds. Upon reading this thread I found outyou shouldnt use any alchohol based cleaner...well the ingredients in the stuff I have are (in order): water, 2-butoxyethanol and ethanol...what gives?
