Did I get a bad BIOS flash or something else?

Ok, I got an XC Cube EZ18 from Newegg. I decided to stick a mobile 2400+ in it.

Everything was working okay (apparently they supply the integrated GF4 MX with bad drivers) up until I flashed the BIOS to the latest one. Now when the system boots into the OS it goes all slow.

I tried reinstalling windows but it took a better part of a day to do. I let it reinstall, went to school, came back and it still hadn't prompted me with personal options or anything. Ughs.

Could all of this be the result of a bad flash or maybe a bad processor or what?

Have you tried checking all through the new BIOS, it may have set some slow defaults. Also try clearing the CMOS to see if it helps - some old garbage from the old BIOS may still be in there. Do this before checking through the settings. Follow your mobo manual's CMOS clearing instructions carefully or it may work even worse than before.
