I plugged a secondary ide cable to a CD Drive then gave it the molex connector while computer was on. did I just fry something? Computer turns on, hard drive spins, but no signal to monitor. please help...

FIRST RULE ON COMPUTERS-DO NOT INSTALL HARDWARE WHILE IT IS ON!
Did you unplug the optical drive you plugged in? Do you have integrated(onbrd) video or an add-in card?

Did you do that on purpose? First of all, I'd remove those drives. I'd attempt to also reset the CMOS to see if that clears anything you may have done. If that doesn't work, reseat the processor, test with another PSU. If all else fails, you probably fried a lot of your hardware.

Could be, but I doubt it. Try disconnecting everything not absolutely essential to get into the BIOS--including the hard disk(s) and optical drives.

Just so you know, I think that kind of disregard for another person's computer skills, however foolish they may seem, is very disrespectful and condescending. I am a moderator at another forum and I gaurantee you that would be borderline cause for immediate ban at my site.
**EDIT-
Personally, I think an appology is in order, but thats just me.:|
