Did I fry my motherboard?

I unplugged the hard drive from the power supply

WHILE THE COMPUTER WAS ON

and then when I went to plug the power back into the back of the hard drive, there was a spark and everything went down.

Lesson learned, obviously, but the question is, which did I most likely ruin? The motherboard, the PSU, or everything?

I have another PSU I can test it on arriving in a few days. But just wondering for now what I did. I know I must have touched the wrong contacts or something.

Thanks :)

I did the same thing with a CDRW I had. Heard a pop and everything went black and I thought I fried the motherboard. I went out and bought a new motherboard (I figured it was an excuse to upgrade) and went to pulling everything out. With just the bare minimum left in, I decided to give it one last try, cleared CMOS and hit the power button and it booted up. I got into the bios, reset everything and I no longer have and excuse to upgrade, at the moment anyway.:D

Didn't work. I'm pretty sure I ruined the psu, because I've tried 3 different boards and none of them will turn on. or it could be the power button on the case
