DID I FRY MY MOBO???

Okay guys... I just built a dime peice of a computer. I am SURE I have everything connected right. When I first got the motherboard I put it in the case and connected the fans and the mobo + power supply. I turned it on the watch the fans go, to make sure at least they worked. They worked... I did it a couple more times.
NOW, after i hook everything up a few days later, nothing turns on. The LED on the mobo lights up with the power supply switch on. I checked the cables for the switches on the front of the case. I tried EVERYWHERE to put them. Nothing turns on. At all. The only thing that happens is the fan on the power supply twitches once when I flip the switch on the Power supply.

PLEASE HELP ME, you don't even know how upset I am. =\

***update**** I just ran to Compusa and bought a new power supply... still doesnt work. HELP

if it were me id unhook everything. all cables. then just plug in the mobo, cpu fan (to mobo or 4 pin to the ps, whichever) and the line that goes to the power switch to the motherboard.

btw what is a dime piece?

:-\ dude i'm sad, heh... are you saying leave in the CPU or no, just the fan?
dime peice = a real nice thing.

yeah leave everything in the case, just unhook it all. just leave a video card in there, the ram, the cpu, and a heatsink on the cpu. hook up the heatsink/fan to the power, the motherboard to the power, the monitor to the vid card, and the power switch connector. if that doesnt work take the motherboard out, place it on a plastic bag or something (like those pink antistatic bags) on top of a box. do the same thing (vid card will hang off the edge of the box). you're case will have to be next to the box. that'll eliminate any shorts/contact between the case and board. hopefully it'll boot up then.

well, i've tried all the suggestions... but still doesnt work... i think i fried my mobo when i was testing my fans... (constant on / off with the power supply) I admit at times i can be really stupid. I am seeing if i can get an exchange since it's under warrenty for 30 days. (mobo) wish me luck.
heh thanks anyways...

hopefully u didn't do what my first time ass did and screw the mobo straight into the case w/o using the standoff's.....god, i feel like such an idiot.......powered it up and fried it all up.....scorched the board real good(turned it into a penny piece!!🙂...i know how u feel tho......keep us updated😱
