Ok here is my situation.
Computer was whack, so I look at the CPU temp from the BIOS. It read 72 degrees Celcius. I almost soiled my pants and quickly turned the computer off. But here's the deal, I waited a few minutes for everything to cool down, and it booted up again. I let it go up to 52 degrees Celcius to see if the temps stabilized (after readjusting the fan and heatsink). It kept going up so I turned it off again. Then took off the heatsink, put on some more Arctic Silver 2, and turned it back on. I got NO BEEPS.
Did I fry the CPU? Is it possible for it to run, and not turn back on the next time I try it? I looked at the CPU again and I didn't crack it, and I don't see any smoke marks.
If I didn't fry my CPU, then what could be causing my system from beeping and posting?
Please help!!!!!
