Did I Do the Right Thing?

So I get this package the other day addressed to my niece who's in the 5th grade.. Inside there's some pictures of puppies and a barbie doll. It's from some place in New Hampshire. From some person on the internet.

Now let me explain, my home network is like the CIAs network. I have 8 redundant industrial grade firewalls and 256bit encrypted windows login passwords for all my computers. I also keep all the keyboards in the house inside locked containers, which can only be opened if both myself and Tom (my brother) use our keys at the same time. Anyways, NOTHING goes on on my network that I don't know about. Nothing is EVER to be downloaded. No web page are EVER to be visited. No chat rooms allowed. My neice knows all this.

So I go onto my neice's computer and find a picture of a puppy on her desktop. You can't believe how mad I was. She must have downloaded this puppy picture. I give her a 14.4k dial up connection, and this is how she repays me, by compromising her network and breaking all the rules! Her dad told me to do whatever was necessary to stop this.

Anyways, I threw her in a closet and locked it. She's not allowed to come out until she's 18. Some people think I'm being mean. What do you guys think?
