So pretty much, I'm bored at my house... so I go visit my friends house at 2 PM.. I tell my parents ahead of time I would too... Well get I there, and 2 hours later we go take a metro bus to an elementary school that has a tennis court (since I play tennis...)... I also did tell my parents I would too...

So afterwards, since they haven't called me yet at around 8 PM, I started walking home, since its only a 30-45 minute walk back. Then my parents call, saying their at my friend's house, which is 1.5 hours away walking... So I tell them that I'm walking home...

Their response : NO, we're going to get you now... you went overboard this time... You're not going to anymore friends houses...

They picked me up at a metro stop that's only half an hour away from my house lol. Let's just say... when I asked my friend if he wanted a ride home, he turned it down FAST lol.

You may have just caught your parents at a moment in which they're both passively pissed off about something. So suddenly you call with something that's a minor annoyance, and it explodes a thousandfold.

You'll be fine. These things blow over fast.

Ahhh summer break...Haven't had one in 10+ years, so forgot all about it. Bottom line is your parents are concerned about your saftey, so be glad.
