Did I buy the wrong Memory?

You made the right choice.🙂

If you run your CPU and memory at 1:1 ratio (which you should), you would have your E6600 overclocked to 3.6GHZ.

Even though I bought the 800Mhz memory and my CPU runs at 1066Mhz? and do you really think I can get it to 3.6Ghz on air?

On the surface "800MHz" sounds like it's slower than "1066MHz"...
But you need to read up more on your memory vs CPU FSB speeds. 😉

Hint: 800 divided by 2... 1066 divided by 4 😉
