Did I break my RAM?!?!

I just installed a new stick of 2100 DDR RAM, although it seems to be working, I accidentally chipped off a tiny piece of it. go to this link to see which part of the ram I'm talking about. Did I just screw up my ram? or do i have nothing to worry about?

Too lazy to check link. Did you actually get a piece of the chip itself? If its working, and all of the memory is reported as being there, I don't see why it would be a problem.

How much of it did you chip off because man you are lucky if it is still working.

if you check the link, I chipped off the part circled in red. It's a tiny little chip of sorts that just fell off the face of the ram.. everything seems to be working, though.

Guess the only way to find out is to use 100% of the ram until your sure every address is used....

Judging by the picture you chipped off the SPD EEPROM. The SPD holds information regarding your RAS/CAS settings and who manufactured the memory. I'm pretty sure if the SPD is the only thing you chipped off the RAM would still work if you manually configured the memory in the BIOS.
