Did I blow my system?

I was recently troubleshooting some hard drives for a friend, and had my copmuter open, with the drive in question hanging out. During one trial, I noticed that I had booted up before connecting the power to the drive. I scrambled to plug in the drive power before it was too late, but fumbled, and the drive power arced against the power plug in the back of the drive; POP!. My whole system went black! From then on nothing came from my computer when I turned on the switch! Not even the slight um of the fans. I got a tip that it was the power supply, but I have replaced that, to no avail. What is my next step? I guess I will try to replace the Motherboard....Then the Processor... Then the RAM. Can anybody give me a tip on how to deal with this? Is there an easy way to test components or anything?

Don't know your set up but does the power supply have a fuse? Are you using a power strip with a breaker? Did you check the circuit's, breaker?
