For those who did not know - She was child star on one of the biggest TV shows of the 80's, different Strokes. Later in life, she has to turn to porn for money. She goes on Howard to promote the movie, and he makes fun of her. She kills herself that night.

" Plato began having drug and alcohol problems early in life. At age 14, she overdosed on Valium. She admitted to drinking and using recreational drugs during her years on Diff'rent Strokes."

I'm not sure if I'd call that a suicide to be honest. It's not uncommon for addicts to have a higher risk of dying upon relapse 'cause they forget how much they can handle. The calls probably triggered something with her, and like all addicts, they resort to using something to help them cope. If she had been using Valium at age 14, then by the time she was 34 she would have also done a lot of damage to her body already.

Anyone who blames themselves for not stopping someone from committing suicide when they couldn't of possible known, even in the case of making fun of them is not to blame for the actions of a suicidal person following through with the action of taking their own life.

This is the same logic of saying that guns and bullets kill people and forks and spoons make people fat.

Why people always want to look for blame everywhere but where to the person that actually did the act, I will never understand.
