Yes they did, but I'm not sure it's rolled out to everyone yet. Their main page is going through changes too, I'm not a huge fan of the bright blue buttons.

now that you mentioned... sure looks a bit different... not noticeable... I did open up Bing and sure enough it looks exactly the same!

reminds me of cola war when the "new" coke tasted like Pepsi. Why do existing giants get into panic mode so quickly...

On some searches I see this auto-scrolling section in the middle of the page that has the "latest results" for the search.

I just realized I hardly ever go to Google.com anymore- I use the search bar in the upper right corner of IE8.

Not really---it does show you the results, but I never see the home page.
