Did Giants Exist Years Ago?

I'd bet any myth or legend of giants is simply an exaggerated tale of someone with some sort of growth disorder. We've had people in the last 100-200 years that grew to nearly 9 feet. If you saw someone that huge with no knowledge of a world outside your village, you might think there could be a race of giants somewhere.
 
I would say yes. There is a theory behind that too.

Those so called giants were actually more enlightened image of us. They had spiritual connection and were more aware than any human in today's era.

The only problem is that we have lost the capability to reach that dimention. And although our brain is capable to do much more. We still have a very limited capability that we can use right now.

There is perhaps another explanation for this. In prehistoric time everything that existed was of gigantic proportions due to the atmosphere composition.

So, its not necessarily a disorder or disease. There were giants that were perfectly fine and normal. But, in todays environment, giants are more rare and thus can be associated with disorder as the environment is not apt for those guys.
 
It's the History Channel. A few facts mixed in with huge assumptions. About as credible as a supermarket tabloid.
