Did friend get ripped?

He bought a Dodge Stratus 2001 SE. He was told it is a V6 whereas edmunds says SE model is a 4 cylinder and the ES model is the 6 cylinder version. The car clearly says SE and so does the sales information sheet. THe sales info sheet he got also says it's an SE but with a V6 engine.

He bought this at an auction, but he has all the records proving his side. What should he do?

The 6 cyl was an option on the SE. It is probably a V6.

Go to the people he bought it from, double check the bill of sale, and if there's anywhere in the paperwork that indicates that the car is a 6 cyl when it clearly isn't, then get them to take it back.

Get the VIN. It will tell you what came under the hood.
