Did Eunice Stone jump the gun

It's looking like the 3 people being detained in FL may just be medical students on the way to Miami (confirmed by Miami hospital). I don't think Ms. Stone purposely lied to officials but I think she may had not heard things she thought she heard. 3 young arab men in a southern state are not the most popular people.

If they were laughing and joking about 9/11 (serious or not) then they should consider themselves VERY lucky some even jumpier citizens didn't decide to take more drastic and immediate action.

As far as the issue of it happening in the South, I'd be willing to bet most folks in New York would have done the same thing had they overheard the same conversation.

Yeah the whole thing sounds far too fabricated to me. I agree that its better to be safe than sorry but take stories like this with a grain of salt. Unless they specifically found weapons or bombs in the car I wouldn't form an opinion.

If they said what they did then the purposely incited panic and should have the book thrown at them . It's no different than yelling "Fire" in a crowded theater. You forget they also blew through a toll both and had switched license plates. Now it doesn't matter if they are Arabs or Canadians, it's still suspicous and reckless behavior and those who question the actions taken are obviously talking out their ass.

So blowing through a toll gate and having swtched license plates on top of their "unfortunate" remarks is not reason for them to be held for questioning and the only reason they are is because they happen to be darker than Eunice herself? How do you know Eunice wasn't black herself? I don't know what race she is. I don't even know what her religion is. Do you hotshot?

If you don't want to be pulled over and questioned I think a few things you can avoid is saying BS like they did and blowing through toll booths at high speed with stolen plates.
