Did braces or invisalign cause you to have sensitive teeth?

After about three months of wearing invisalign I've noticed that my teeth have started to become sensitive to the cold, something that's never been a problem before. When I drink a cup of cold milk, for example, my bottom right molars get achey.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I had traditional braces and have it. It's very annoying. You can look into a gum graft or alternatively, there is some kind of coating they can apply to the base of the tooth that insulates the roots.

Edit:
It happens because when your teeth move the gum doesn't move with them as well.

QFT.

I had braces for fives years and one month. After that long of a time, my gums have receded quite a bit. I've been using Sensodyne toothpaste for years and it does help reduce the sensitivity to cold and hot.
