First off, let me just say that I would only buy a computer at best buy if I was in a dire need of a computer and needed it ASAP. Yesterday was that day. Users laptop took a flying crap yesterday, one day before she had to hit the road for two weeksl. No spare laptops, tech wouldn't have time to get there to replace it. So off to beast buy I go.

She needed a nice portable machine, and Best Buy had a sony Vaio R505 Superslim Pro for $1199 + $100 rebate. The display model showed a docking station under the machine and I didn't see a price associated with it. I inquired if it was a seperate purchase or if it was included. The rep told me it was included.

I had the rep go and get the laptop for me, and she brings it out in two boxes. One for the laptop, one for the docking station. Ok. She takes it over to the check out counter and the cashier starts to ring it up. He swipes the laptop - $1199. He swipes the docking station - $399....hmmmmmm. He looks at me, looks at the sales rep. Sales rep says that the bay is included with the laptop. I keep my comments to myself, pay for the machine and then head on back.

This morning I start looking through paperwork and I read that the docking station is an optional accessory. Can anyone confirm this? Did I get a free docking station?

Now the question is did they give you a freebee or did they give your company a freebee?
