I wouldn't expect the prices of the 5000 Series to fall because I was expecting the price of the GTX 470 to be cheaper than the 5870 but in the UK they are the same price with the GTX 480 being £130 more expensive than the GTX 470 and 5870.![]()
UK pricing is an utter joke like usual :/ (prices taken from overclockers, maybe a few £'s diff elsewhere but they are normally pretty good with top end parts)
470 = £310-350 (all pre-order)
480 = £445-480 (all pre-order)
5850 = £220-270 (can get for £225)
5870 = £320-360 (can get for £320)
I seriously hopes no one buys NV in UK @ those prices, not that I image we will actually get anything much in terms of availability on these shores :S
Bought my 5850 for $269 abut a month ago. 4 days ago the very same 5850 was $339. Today it is $299.
I was looking at the prices of a number of 5000 series card the other day specifically looking the difference between getting a 5970 and 2x5870 CF and looking at the prices again today they seem almost 100 buck higher!? I could be wrong.
The kicker? I picked up an MSI 5870 on one of the forums last week for $320 from someone unloading to pick up a GTX4x0. :awe:
