Did AT&T reduce its signal strength too?

The ADT alarm system's wireless device (uses AT&T) started having problems, today they came in and checks and said that its not getting strong enough signal and keeps disconnecting. They installed a new higher power some "commercial strength" device (no cost to me). I have t-mobile and it works fine in my house... seems AT&T messed with something. Did anyone else experience or hear about signal issues with AT&T?
