AMC=American Mathematical Competition. It's 25 questions, 75 minutes. There's three versions of the test, one for 8th graders (AMC8) , one for sophmores (AMC10) , and one for seniors (AMC12). About 200k students take it every year, and some colleges even ask it along with SAT score, ACT, etc. If one scores in the top 5%, he/she moves on to take the AIME=American Invational Matematics Examination, which is 15 questions, 3 hours. After scoring the top 5% on that, one qualifies for the USAMO= USA Math Olympiad, which is 6 questions, 6 hours.
I haven't found a scan of this year's test, but I'll post one if I find it.
I took the AMC12 (although I am a sophmore) and scored a 136 (out of 150), which isn't terrible.
