pics? My 4200 Ti doesn't run the game well... I'm boycotting it until I get at least a 6800 :(

I think you have to ask yourself.

1. Was it necessary to have it? Would hell have been less evil looking with something else there in it's place?

2. Why just Jesus? Is ID proclaiming it the one true religeon?

3. Christ's death is what allows us to escape hell and become righteous. Why would the Devil want to be reminded of it?

So it appears it was some childish level designer exercising his pubescent rebellion in an attempt at eliciting shock.
