Did anyone keep pace with Eurovision?

I reallly thought that Armenia and Greece had the best songs, with armenia's being better (Greece's song feels a little too much like Britney Spears or something). I have no idea how Russia won...good song (not like any of these are really deep anyways) but I just can't see how it was better than the others; England's song didn't get th recognition it should have

The voting is hugely political, hence the results are always utterly predictable from a large number of the countries.

EuroVision has always been a political farce. People vote for their friendly neighbours, or countries they are friends with. The small neighbours of Russia hope for political goodwill if they vote for them.

Eurovision is good to spend the evening with friends, get drunk and have a laugh with the Eurotrash

it's a total joke as a festival

My buddy was in Ukraine during one of the Eurovision things. He brought me back a bottle of pepper rum that had a Eurovision advertisement on it.

I still have the bottle.

I lost interest in EV right after ABBA won back in the '70's.
