This years is weak. Jones dunks are ok.. But nothing too spetacular. I think its because Richardson is so well known to be a dunker now that they rate him to a higher standard. Richardson shoulda played it safe at the end.
Bring dez-mason back, now that will be some real competition.
Oh yeah, the white guy got robbed on the first dunk, 42? That was better than Jones first dunk that got him a 50.

Yes, that was the best dunk I have ever seen. Unfortunately, he couldn't pull it off in the finals to win.

5-7 Spud Webb winning in 1986 was and always will be the most amazing slam dunk contest ever. He's freaking five foot seven and he beat Dominique Wilkins in the finals. Those were the days.

Yup, the crowd was booing at that score.

Richardson's dunk was one of the best ever...the contest as a whole was only ok...the judging sucked, and they were all former Lakers....Jones' dunk in the first round that got a 50 was average at best...

LeBron in the dunk contest next year....bring back some interest in the event!

unfortunately, I am beginning to agree. 4 contestants? that's not a contest. Back inthe days when there were 10-12 dunkers, that was fun to watch.

that was an amazing dunk. it's too bad the dunk contest ended in a very anti-climatic way. they should given them a tie and let them have a dunk off.

im glad there isn't 10-12 dunkers. watching a bunch of crappy dunks is boring.

I'm glad Jones won. His dunks weren't that flashy but they were impressive anyways. Bringing a ball from waist level in midair with only one arm? Come on, that's tough without two arms to make sure the ball isn't going anywhere. I do agree that the contest was anti-climatic with both last dunks not being able to be redone.
