It is rare for a school from a major conference to miss out on a bowl game, the Men's NCAA Tourney and the NIT in the same year. Even more rare are the schools that go 0-for two years in a row. In fact, of the 67 schools from major conferences that play D1A football (not all Big East schools play D1A football), only four missed out on all postseason play.
Those four schools are:
Baylor
Ole Miss
Washington State
Kansas State

Don't let Fatty ruin your impression. KSU actually ranks top 5 in the nagtion IIRC in Princeton and Rhodes Scholars.
