What the hell? It's like, I'm watching the show, then all of a sudden it turns into some sort of psuedo-commercial, but it's using all the actors from the show and whatnot. There was no break or any indication what I was watching was a commercial, until suddenly the Chevy logo started showing up.

Chevy must have paid a LOT of money...

it was pretty dumb. I was watching and thinking "wtf, they are turning the show into a chevy commercial..." and then it was. it had to have been the worst commercial I've seen in a long time too.

Welcome to the after affect of the Tivo invasion (I do own a PVR). I haven't seen this ad but hopefully the marketers and TV people come up with better solutions than this to the commercial skip generation.

Alias and 24 do similar in-show advertising (don't know the word for it). Check out car chase scenes and how the camera will zoom in on th make/model and hold the shot.

Also, everytime jeff probst brings out a car in the reward challenges in later episodes of any survivor season. Now that's blatant

It was a crappy commercial, but it did the trick, at least from Chevy's standpoint, eh? We all saw it and remembered it...

yah.. but i saw in the bottom corner in tv fine print it said something about an olympic mini movie.. so when i realized what it was, i wasn't too surprised.. it was freakin retarded though

yea I saw that and the whole time I was wondering "Why the hell are we following these guys?" I thought I had been watching a 10 minute commercial when it was done.

I've never seen anything like this on Alias. It was bizzare - I actually thought it was part of the show, but in reality it could have been left out and you wouldn't have missed any of the plot of the show.

It was shot in widescreen and everything. Only when they started showing the commercial-like shots of the cars did I suspect that it was a commercial and not part of the show.

It doesn't really make me want to buy the new Chevy SUV's or anything - all it did was leave me confused, then a little angry at being tricked into watching a commercial like that (I :heart: Tivo)
