Did anyone else get stuck in Upstate NY today?!

I was driving back from Columbus Ohio to Vermont today... we left around 8 am and it was supposed to take around 12 hours to get home.... well on I-90 in Upstate New York, the weather started to get really bad... just up the road there was a 27 car pile up and they made the ENTIRE interstate exit 🙁 ... we got off at the toll, asked for directions and were headed on our way to get back onto the interstate. The directions were horribly wrong and 3 HOURS!!! later we ended up at the exact same toll both that we were at to begin with. Luckly some nice people agreed to let us follow them and we were able to get back on... I never want to be in a car for 17 hours straight again... *passes out*

I think my friend was either in it or got stuck in traffic because of it. All I know is that his away message was "20 car pile ups suck" - I'll find out tomorrow.

BTW, I'm stuck in Upstate NY everyday. 😉 Roads were really bad tonight...thank goodness for DSA (Dynamic Stability Assist) on the Volvo...and ABS of course.

Wimp, real men drive big rear wheel drive cars without electronics 😉

I learned how to get around in snow with a 1980 caddilac fleetwood. I grew up in upstate NY. Ever try to climb a mountain road in a rear wheel drive car in two inches of powder and more falling? 30 degree grades on a switchback are what nightmares are made of.
