did anyone else finish A Feast For Crows?

i thought that this was part of the book that he split into two - feast for crows being part 1 of the 2?

how are you liking affc?

My wife got it for me for Christmas, alas I have to wait. Assuming a Dance with Dragons was partially done when AFFC was released because of the spilt, maybe we'll see it in 2-3 years instead of 5+. 😀

Dance of Dragons should be out in late 2006 (asked him @ a book signing) as he is most of the way done with the actual writing part. Feast was quite good, read it the day I got it.

He kept saying Feast should be done earlier, but it wasn't. Who knows when A dance of Dragons will be out. Probably 2008.

I'm a big fan of Martin: Read all of his published books, got Geroge R.R. Martin: A Rretrospective, ALL of his out of print books except for Songs the Dead Men Sing, and about 4 of the last Wild Cards (very hard to find, low print run)... But I thought AFfC to be kind of weak, hopefully the next half of the book will be stronger. It was taking WAY to long for him to finish the book, but splitting it like this was a mistake.

What was he like in person, or what was the impression you managed to glean from the short time you saw him/had your book signed by him? Such a talented fantasy author.
