Did anybody hear about an ATI answer to the Geforce 2MX

Yes, it's the Radeon VE. It'll have 32 MB DDR RAM, only 64-bit architecture or whatever though. It's also going to have DVI, dual head, and TV out, but the T&L unit is crippled on the chip.

Yeah, I heard it was a neutered version of the Radeon. Might be worth it for those on a budget. I doubt it will be any faster than the GeForce 2 MX.

Stick with the 32 DDR or SDR. The VE is far more of a budget choice....kind of like the MX.

I thought the 32 DDR board was already competing against the MX in that price range. They are well within $20 of each other.

it'll have better 2d quality. For a business / light gaming card it will do well, expect it to be around $100 OEM.
