did any1 get this New razer diamondback 3g mouse?

Wow.... I just have nothing to say. I personally love the new 3G laser mice, but you haven't found the beau drivers est the belle fingertip design.

Do you have mouse acceleration turned on, and/or sensitivity enhanced beyond the default values (sixth bar from the left in Windows' mouse settings)?

I take it this is the first high-resolution mouse you have used?

The glow pipes never glow the same as they are in pictures. It's sort of like McDonalds burgers. And basically turn down the Windows acceleration to 3, install the updated drivers from Razer's site and play with the driver settings. Makes the mouse 110% better.

ive tried sensitivity on and off, number from 10-1, ive tried everything.

yes, this is my first high-reso mouse. ive been using the intelli microsoft mouse for 5 years.

Try using the mouse without the Razer drivers:

1. Uninstall or stop the Razer driver

2. Go into Control Panel --> Mouse --> Pointer Options

3. Set the slider on the sensitivity switch to the sixth notch from the left

4. Uncheck the "enhance pointer precision" box

This should result in the mouse running at default settings without any acceleration or interpolation. There may still be some residual acceleration that requires a registry tweak to get rid of, but for the most part you should no longer notice it.

The increased speed you describe is consistent with the much higher resolution of the scanner- this is to be expected, and you can reduce the sensitivity with windows or the razer drivers. However, the inability to accurately mouse is indicative of either interpolation or a mousing surface that the scanner does not like. I lean towards the former- have you tried drawing a diagonal line using MS Paint to see assess the smoothness of your mouse?

Depending on what you are used to, and the screen resolution you are running at, 1800DPI may require some getting used to- however, you should NOT find that the new mouse is less smooth/accurate/precise than your previous one.

I use a standard Copperhead, which is similar I image. installed Razer drivers, turned up to max poll rate and max dpi, thats it. with on the fly adjustability, you can always drop it down when needed, but thats my standard setup (XP and Vista64)

do you think that having a 1.3ghz celeron might have some effect on the mouse as it may not have the processing power to keep up with the fast mouse? my 1.3ghz celeron is sloOOooooOOw , it's pathetic.
