Did Anandtech's front page post a Ice Cream Sammich article and then pull it?

THere is a good chance my brain is fried off wasabi and workout supplements, but about 10 minutes ago I saw an ICS article pop up on the front page as I was clicking to a new page. I immediately went back and could find nothing. Then I went to the search feature and found nothing.

Anybody else catch this or do I need to go on detox?

Engadget just posted one, are you sure that isn't what you are thinking of?

I think you're right. IT's a damn shame, engadget really doesn't have the technical knowledge of an Xbitlabs much less the editors of this site 🙁

Anandtech always takes much longer to review things. With that said they are worth the wait for how indepth they are.

engadget is AOL, enough said

Other sites like the Verge are just as bad if not worse.

That's one of the reasons I like Anandtech so much, the writers are very knowledgeable and I usually end up learning a lot about the subject by reading a review. On the other hand certain other sites articles have left me feeling like I have a better grasp of the subject than the author does.

That's probably why I've been here since the 90s 😉

And come to think of it, I'm not sure if they were the first, but I'm pretty sure AT is what pushed the heavy criticism of pentile displays (just as an example of the indepthness)

I chuckled at the battery meter in those Engadget pictures of ICS.

09:12 100% full
09:54 90%
10:16 60%
10:22 40%
11:15 30%
11:24 20%
12:04 20% Charging
12:11 30%
02:06 80%
02:22 70%
...
03:36 40% Charging
05:29 40% Charging

....something like that.

Damnit, THIS IS 2011, where's my hydrogen fuel cell surrounded by heatsinks harnessing the thermal energy of the hot surroundings???

i don't even bother reading other reviews. They're too easy to poke holes in. Anand gets it right. He should probably take the site to a subscription model, otherwise he'll be forced to dumb it down, IMO....
