Did Amazon severely reduce its product return dropoff locations?

I used to drop off returns at a Kohl's right near me. But now when I try and click to return something on Amazon, the nearest return place is in a different city and like a good 25 minute drive!!! What is going on here?!?!

Wife was able to return something to Amazon at Kohl's once before it stopped. We rarely return things--even when retail--and they simply stopped making it convenient.

Not around here. Just initiated a return yesterday and all the nearby Kohls were available. Hope that stays the same.

Never mind, I figured it out. Apparently Amazon makes you return it close to where you have the delivery address listed, and my delivery address was my work, close to the far off location. I changed the delivery address to my home and boom, the option to return to the Kohl's near me popped back into being.

Thanks barking dude and squishy one!

I just print the return label, and drop in a UPS dropbox just down the street. Especially during COVID we don't have to go into a store. Wife tells me you have to go all the way to service desk at the rear of the store. I wouldn't know, I've never been to Kohl's.

Maybe they centered on your residence and established a safe area outside of the probable "blast-radius" ??

;)

Seriously if anything in my area they have added a bunch MORE places recently.
