Due to the nature of the current Republican Party. The mainstream Republicans have been positively paralyzed by the batshit Teabag wing to the point where they don't dare propose any solutions to any problems, lest they be accused of trying to make government work. Since they have been effectively "self-expelled" from the policy arena, the only thing they can do to get people to vote for them is to gin up hatred of "others". Immigrants make a handy target for them, so they beat the drums about how the Hispanic Horde is going to come north and take jobs away from us and vote for those socialist Democrats. Since their tent is shrinking, Republicans have no choice to drum up hysteria among that shrinking base in order to get them motivated to vote.

Even without the Executive Order, the current incoming kids have been sheltered from deportation by a bi-partisan bill signed in 2001, the DREAM Act. INS and its related courts are currently so overwhelmed by the sheer numbers that it is taking up to two years merely to get a kid into court to be deported.

I would not say that DACA has had no effect, but it is not the primary cause of the current crisis regarding young people. Obama's E.O. addressed kids who had already been in the country for many years, being brought in as infants or very young children, and who have been effectively assimilated. The huge numbers of current kids are not actually affected by the E.O., but are waiting due process thanks to the bi-partisan, Bush-signed, law from over a decade ago

- Way to get your head to explode on conjecture -why don't you wait to see what is done before foaming at the mouth.

- Believing that another American who has broken no laws, yet has different beliefs than you, should be tried and shot is the most un-American thing I can think of.

- I wish we'd attack this issue at the source. Have vigorous enforcement and severe penalties for businesses and persons who employ illegal immigrants. If you cut off the source of revenue, the vast majority will simply not come to the US.

I think it's pretty clear what industries and businesses employ a ton of these folks. 100K fine per person per occurrence sounds about right to me. If local law enforcement even did the once in a while sweep of Home Depots to arrest and fine people who pick-up/hire the immigrants waiting in front, I'm pretty sure this practice will disappear immediately.

Luis is traitor to the American people. he wants to punish those that don't support amnesty. he wants to give a pass to millions of people that broke the law.

Why should I support someone so un-American? Why should anyone support someone that vowed to defend the constitution and the united states, then actively works for the people that piss on it?

Where is Obama on the enforcement of any immigration law? he's not. All he wants is more voters for his party. Even if that means legalizing millions of foreigners, who's first action was to disrespect our laws.

IF and WHEN those ILLEGALS show up for court hearings. From what I read, 40% and more of those ILLEGALS never show up, just vanish. What do you expect from lawbreakers. Oh no, I am so mean and call them as lawbreakers, they should be call "law ignorers" or "follow the law is for chumps".

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/metr...e-no-shows-at-dallas-immigration-hearings.ece

In general, 46 percent of juveniles don’t show up for their immigration court hearings, according to Capitol Hill testimony recently from Juan Osuna, who directs the Justice Department’s immigration courts.

And we are wondering why more of them ILLEGALS are coming in waves after waves. Rewarding bad behavior = will get more bad behavior.

Reasonable and intelligent people are dissuaded from posting in the P&N due to the prevalent culture of 'batshit' crazy and extremism. If they do post their points are mostly ignored or dishonestly twisted around into the snippet of a talking point of the day.

Rational and sane conversations are not possible when faced with excessive screaming of lies, misrepresentations and gutter speech.

This forum isn't representative of society as the unhinged and unchecked loons rule the roost.

Please show me a rational liberal on these boards?

Oh wait, the liberals here do represent nearly all of the left wingnuts out there. Don't bother going after the issue, just attack the messenger.

Disagree with Obama, you must be a racist.
Disagree with a liberal you must be an idiot.

Are you saying the Hispanics typically vote republican?

so your including all the illegal immigrants into the hispanic republican voting percent? why would these people vote for the same party that would be the ones deporting them instead of allowing them to stay here

Thanks for once again proving that this is nothing but buying votes by the democratic party.

This has nothing to do with whats good for the country, or respecting the law. Its just flat out vote buying.

I say go for it. Then wait for McOwned to start a thread crying that he's been replaced by someone that was given amnesty.

Even if unemployment was actually dropping each month like the obama administration blatantly lies about... the majority of new jobs are low skill, low wage..... exactly the type of job McOwned is competing for with illegals. McOwned's only hope is that once all the illegals are all legalized... they will find out they cannot afford to work the wages that they themselves supressed... thereby dropping out of the workforce and living off the government.

:hmm:

nah I've nothing it's just to hard to try responding it's so ridiculous.....

Is it, or is it not beneficial for Democrats, if Republicans push ahead with impeachment?

Knowing his party wins any such contest, the President is free to be lawless.

Are you saying that the Republican Party is incapable of appealing to Hispanics?

The Hispanics already made their bed with one party. You know the party that loves to create government dependents, and doesn't care about the law. The democrats are more then happy to create a new welfare / dependent group as to give themselves more voters.

At this point the democrats, aka 'party of the people' have completely thrown that message out the door. Now they are the pander party. If your working the democrats hate you, they hate your success, now they hate your job, so they want to bring in millions of new workers.
Because the economy is so great, and we are completely out of legal workers in this country. Also poverty has been solved in America, so we need to add a few more million on to welfare.

Do you read what you type? Wow, just wow. So we are going to reward law breakers/bad behavior? Why the hell even bother to have immigration law and regulation? Why even bother to have border? Why even bother to be a sovereign nation?

On a personal note, I am sure you open all of your (house) doors and windows and let anyone just to come in and take anything they want, have their way with the women, and stay if they choose to, right? You would not be a hypocrite, right?
