Dick move to tip with a $2 Bill?

I was at a restaurant today with a buddy of mine and when the it came time to pay the bill I tipped with a $2 bill. My friend was confused, and said the waitress would be pissed because you can't use a $2 bill everywhere. I'm of the opinion that currency is currency, and I have never had problems using a $2 bill.

Who is in the clear here?

It's valid anywhere but that doesn't mean dumb people won't refuse it.

Damn time warps again!

Actually, it was at a Bob Evans. A $2 tip for a $10 meal is totally reasonable.
You are a winner. 20% and a cool collectors bill.

As for your friend, there is no hope.

Why the fuck wouldnt it be accepted anywhere?

I can see his point with things like vending machines and the like. However, I still don't see how it's that big of a hassle.

Vending machines don't take 100s or 50s either. You're friend is a complete idiot and you should have probably just smacked him when he said that to knock out some of the idiot brain cells. That's what a real friend would do.

I was at a strip club in SC back in the day and they gave all change in $2 bills. Slick move since every time you would normally give a girl a dollar you are giving her 2.

Vending machines are a gigantic waste of pocket cash anyways.

It's too late for him. The pot has converted all his normal ones to idiot cells.

You can't use it in some change machines but you can use it everywhere else.

Your friend is a moron.

where'd you even get the $2 bill? are they still being printed?

either way, doesn't seem like a dick move. you can't use them in vending machines, but I can't see a store refusing to take one.

Wow, that's a really neat idea. If they did it with fives people would complain, but $2 is just small enough that people would just use them. In my country the smallest note is $5, makes strip clubs very expensive.

Any bank will have a collection of them, same with half dollars. I usually bring in a 20 and get 10 bills every few months when I'm at the bank depositing a check for novelty. Kids really love them as gifts.
