DiamondMax 10 and Raptor Help!

I am building a new PC around a Athlon 64 3500+. What would be better going with 1 Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive for main drive and 1 Maxtor DiamondMax 10 300GB 16MB Cache 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive for backup? Or just get 2 Maxtor DiamondMax 10 300GB 16MB Cache 7200RPM SATA Hard Drives one for main and one for backup? I was planing just to get 2 Maxtor DiamondMax 10 300GB drives. But then I read this review http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=2094 and if I am reading it right it looks like the Maxtor DiamondMax 10 is faster in most test that they ran. I was always thinking that the Raptor was faster. Will windows boot up fast on a DiamondMax 10 like it does on a Raptor? I mean if they are really really close in speed then I am better off going with 300GB or 74GB.

Thanks

The raptor barely beats the Maxtor in tests. Their speeds are very close. I think it is more wise to get the Maxtos since they offer way more space.
