Diamond vs MSI 3870

I've been wanting to get a new video card to replace my X1900GT (which sucks and has never worked as it should) and I'm pretty much set on the ATI 3870. I'm considering the Diamond Viper, but I recently noticed the MSI one. Here they are on newegg:

Diamond Viper 3870

MSI 3870

They are about the same price. However, the MSI has a memory clock speed twice as fast as the Diamond, but other than that the specs seem the same.

Which one should I get? I'm leaning towards the Diamond Viper.

Memory is often quoted as Dual Data Rate. So a card with a clockspeed of 800mhz for the memory is often published as 1600mhz (800x2= 1600mhz). Both mean the same thing so there is no difference in speed. As for which one to buy I would have a look at the manufactuers warranty and what is bundled with each card- sometimes they come with useful apps and games. If it was a toss up between the two however, I would say MSI- since I have been quite impressed by their support for their motherboards, but you won't go wrong with either.

either one should be fine. I bought a diamond x1900xtx 2 years ago and still runs great, just took 3 months to get the rebate.
