Diamond SupraMax 56i help!

:disgust:I have a Diamond SupraMax 56i PCI S98-2359 modem installed on a 500mhz system 256 ram running 98SE and can't get it to connect any faster than 1200kbs. My old modem connected at 48,000kbs all the time. I've contacted Diamond and got nothing. I've downloaded the latest drivers and nothing helps. Can someone help me?
 
In the Control Panel there should be a Modems option. Open that up and there should be a max connection speed for the modem. See if you can adjust that.

 
Have you tried moving your modem to another pci slot ?
Have you tried using some of the other drivers listed ?
I take it that your SUP # of your modem is 2350, you can find it on the card itself on a little white sticker .

My MB has 5 PCI slots. I have tried 4. My video card has one. That didn't help. I have not tried other drivers. I tried that once with a sound card and didn't have any luck. Do you have any suggestions on drivers?:disgust:
