Diamond MX300 crashing my Athlon K7T Pro System, HELP!

Ok, I just put together my new Athlon system and everything went perfect. The only problem is my sound card crashes the entire system if I try to make it play anything more then simple WAV. files or MP3?s. I know it?s the card cause I can play all games using the onboard AC97 sound, it works but it sounds like crap. I've moved the card into different PCI slots, let both windows and the BIOS detect plug and play devices. I?m not sure what else I can do. Anyone else run into this problem with this card or any other Aureal based card?

there are known problems with this sound card and the amd/via combos. You can try the newest drives and if that doesn't work for ya..get a phillips or sound blaster live.
 
YA.i got me a SB LIVE and no problemos at all..got the k7t pro board too..btw where did you get yours at ...i need another and they are getting hard to find ..
 
My MX300 working great on my ASUS A7V...
Use PCI Slot 3
Aureal 2048 Drivers
Disable SB16 Emulation
Use the 3.12 A3D Drivers
