Yup, I wanna install Win2k, but I need the drivers for the SCSI card for when I start installing Win2k.
LMK if you know where I can find them :)

FWIW I checked NT Compatible's listing and it was reported to work flawlessly under all RC's for W2K. I would assume that was using the NT4 drivers since the test was 11/99.

Lostboy, I only need the drivers for when I first install Win2k, you know when win2k asks for drivers for SCSI/Raid cards.....I know the card is Win2k compatible.
The thing is now I need to install Win2k ONTO the SCSI drive, instead of onto my raid array.
Are you trying to say that the win2k setup program has built in drivers for it???

Did it on my Fireport 40 using Symbios generic drivers from the symbios website... I imagine the same would be possible for the dual card...

Hey my Fireport 40 (now sold) as well as a generic symbios uw card had the drivers built into win2k's install program. It never asked me for the drivers. Have you tried to install it yet? It should be there.

You can take a look at Microsoft's Win2k hardware compatibility list to confirm that the drivers are already included.

Yeah, NT4 had the drivers built in too. Been there a while, should be very stable.

Guy's I'm having a monsterous amount of trouble :(

I set my BIOS to boot from cdrom, and it loads the Win2k config good, formatted the partition, but when it reboots, it goes through the same steps as the first time around (loading drivers, etc.)

But when I set my BIOS to boot from SCSI, it doesn't pickup neither the cdrom or Cheetah.

The Cheetah is on Chan A 68pin UW connector, and the rest of my drives (plex 4x burner, plex 40x cdrom, seagate hawk 1gig) are on Chan B.
I also have my kt7-raid's onboard raid controller enabled.

Any ideas??????

Very sorry to have bothered you guys :(
I didn't wait for the computer to NOT boot from cdrom.
Looks like everything is going smoothly.

I feel really dumb

Hey I'm glad you got it working. It's a pretty good card and works extremely well for the price. the only problem you may have is getting adaptec's aspi layer to work (without installing easy cd creator) but there are a few hacks out there that will work. LMK if you need one.

Shippy, it's working so well, that I'm already posting from Win2k :D
Installed the Via 4.29F mobo drivers, Direct X 8.0a and the latest Radeon drivers from the ATI site.
So far so good :D

Shippy, I'll let you know if it doesn't work.

LMK how the new Radeon w2k drivers work for you... that's all that's holding me back from the move to 2K!
