I was wondering if these were any good for the price? The amazon on is $89 but from reading the reviews it looks like it was once on sale for $39.99 in which they were a good buy so I'm not so sure at $89 if its a good buy.
I also went to Blue Nile but didn't really see anything that was sub $100.
I am looking to buy these today so any recommendations are greatly appreciated!
That's a round K, I2, .20 Ct round diamond.
That's the 4 Cs of basic diamond purchasing:
Cut: can be a round, a princess, heart shape, or pretty much anything. This is the most basic thing that a customer can choose from a diamond. What you choose after this heavily influences the price.
The most common is round, which is what you have chosen.
Color: can range from D to Z. D is colorless, and Z is a very very intense yellow. Between those there are ~22 grades of color. The most sensible would be to buy something in the I range, if it's for an engagement or wedding, otherwise you may choose any color. And I mean any color, because diamonds are usually found as a grade of yellow, but you can also get pink, brown, purple, black or even blue. This will affect the price of a diamond greatly because blue diamonds are very rare, and expensive, whereas black diamonds are usually not very attractive (in terms of shinyness) therefore it will be cheap.
Your's is probably tinted yellow so that it's noticable.
Clarity: Ranges from FL to I3: FL-IF-VVS1-VVS2-VS1-VS2-SI1-SI2-I1-I2-I3. FL means Flawless. IF = Internally flawless. VVS = Very Very Slight [Inclusion] VS = Very Slight [Inclusion] I = Included.
Basically, FL and IFs are going to be very expensive, and the Is are going to be very cheap, but that's because of the amount of inlcusion. An inclusion is something that obstructs that path of light inside a diamond so that it doesn't shine as brightly.
You have chosen an I2. Because your diamond is so small, it would be okay, and maybe even preferable to get such a low clarity diamond, but be warned that it won't be as shiney.
Carat: This is the weight of the diamond, which directly relates to the size of the diamond. A .20 Ct diamond is going to be fairly small, but big enough to be appreciable.
My recommendations would be that you try to get a higher
clarity diamond with mostly similar specs, and you would be much more happier with your purchase. This will most likely increase your price, but it will be a much better diamond, since an I2 is a very very low quality diamond.

edit: forgot to mention that
this website has a very nice PDF at the bottom of the page, and some very basic information on the webpage itself. That is the website of the Diamond High Council in Antwerp, Belgium, where a lot of the world's diamond trading happens, so you can be guaranteed it's a good source of information.
edit2: I just realized you had two links. I was referring to the first link when talking about the diamond you posted.
