Alright, so all through L4D1, my 4850 would crash. Sometimes constantly, sometimes after a few hours of play. I was hoping it would go away with L4D2, and it hasn't. Originally I thought it was heat, and the card was getting hot- so I run the fan speed at 75% whenever I'm playing. It used to just crash to the desktop, or the display driver would stop responding. However, now, it is completely crashing my system, and starting to piss me off. I'm not sure what the exact problem is, and to this day I've yet found a way to fix it, so...anybody have advice or information?

Diamond no longer makes functional products - that's why. There entire 3800 line was defunct. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of their cards fail too.

Do you have ANY evidence to back up that statement? Or should we just take your word for it?

My 3850 was fine and my 4850 has been fine until L4D. Please keep subjectivity out of the thread.

Anyways, just played a whole versus game, seemed to be fine- I'll play longer though tonight/tomorrow and see if any problems still arise.

Weird, I can play for hours on end (L4D2) on my 4850 with no issues. Mind you, it's not a Diamond brand, but in all honesty, I can't see why that would make a difference...
